OUR JOURNEY

Ambassadors Football’s mission is to communicate the good news of Jesus with all people through football. This is at the heart of the many initiatives that we run in partnership with schools, churches and local organisations.

Through partnership with local churches, our Ambassadors Soccer Camps provide an avenue where we can bring hope to local communities through football. These programs assist children of all abilities aged 5-12 in the development of their physical abilities as a footballer, as well as important life skills through our faith-based teaching and instruction.

These programs as well as other workshops and training opportunities provide opportunities for Christians to be equipped and encouraged to share the love of Christ through football. Our hope is that Christians across Australia will be given a vision for the power of football as a vehicle for the gospel and be equipped to share Christ in their local contexts, through the opportunities that they have to reach their community on the sporting field and through other football initiatives.

HISTORY

In 1990 Ambassadors Football began as Ambassadors In Sport (AIS) in Bolton, England. They continued as AIS until the current name was adopted in 2013. The ministry was founded by a group called Missionary Athletes International focused from the beginning to partner with churches and Christian organizations to develop grass roots football ministry.

To this day the work continues on through football camps, clinics, prison ministry, school ministry, men’s and women’s teams, international tours and major event ministries at the World Cup and Olympics Games.

Ambassadors Football now has offices around the world and through diligent prayer, calling, and research continues to expand each year according to the Lord’s will.
